My restaurant review of Tomo Japanese and Korean restaurant in Troy, MI was published for The Oakland Press last week. I love sushi, but don't always feel like driving a half hour to get to my favorite place. Tomo is a little bit closer to home, and the sushi is delicious, fresh, and CHEAP! Jeff and I ended up ordering way more food than we needed, but it all only came out $35, which is very reasonable compared to some other sushi places in metro Detroit. Oh, and they give you free soup and salad, which some sushi joints do, and some don't. In my mind, that separates the winners from the losers. Tomo wins!
Also, just a reminder for readers who typically only visit on weekdays, I participated in #sundaysupper this week, so I posted yesterday about my Guacamole Rice. If you didn't eat enough Mexican-inspired food over the Cinco de Mayo weekend, this is your chance to set things right.
Thanks so much for visiting. I really appreciate everyone who reads and comments. If you like what you've seen here, please follow me on Facebook and Pinterest to receive daily updates.
